NavCity.co.uk is the trading name for MAYA 2000 Ltd. We started selling GPS units on Tottenham Court Road in 2001. Tottenham Court Road is a significant shopping street, known for its large number of electrical shops, which range from shops specialising in wires and computer components, to shops dealing in package computers and audio-video systems. People come to Tottenham Court Road for variety and best prices. In 2002 we started NavCity.co.uk so that we could offer cutomers the best range and prices that we offer in store to everyone.

Navcity Is Committed to Looking After The Environment As Well
The United Kingdom is under an obligation to minimise the disposal of Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in domestic waste, and encourage recycling, recovery and environmentally sound disposal. Navcity is committed to promoting the reuse, recycling and recovery of WEEE by contributing to the appropriate compliance schemes. Products or packaging will be marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol (below) to indicate that the product must not be disposed of in domestic waste but disposed of through an approved WEEE take back scheme.
This increase is mainly down to:
• new technologies being developed
• affluent society
• throw away lifestyle
Over 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where lead and other toxins contained in the electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination.
This can have a very harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. When situated near populated areas these toxins can cause problems to communities as their water and soil is polluted.
Many of the electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending waste electrical goods to landfill.
To minimise our impact on this earth and to protect the environment for future generations it is important that we are all aware of the consequences of our actions and how we can make a difference.
This is a lot of electrical waste! So to reduce the amount of electrical items going to landfill the government has introduced some new regulations called The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations.
Navcity complies fully with WEEE Regulation 2006 Statutory Instrument, no. 3289
As per regulation 31. We are pleased to receive a similar item with similar specifications from a purchaser who does not wish to dispose of it himself or herself. The item should be sent to navcity address with the copy of the invoice.
